Sentinel Activities
Stella Maris Academy is forming virtuous young men and women who Lead, Love, and Serve as Jesus Taught
Sentinel Prayer for Competition
Stella Maris, our protector, our guiding star, lead us to your son in this, our time of trial. May he bless this team, our coaches, and these officials. Hear our Earnest desire to bless also our opponent so that this time and this place may be Holy in His eyes. May He remind us as Sentinels to lead, love, and to serve - and that in giving of ourselves we receive.
Amen.
Sentinel Activities Mission
Sentinel activities are an extension of our Stella Maris Academy Catholic mission to lead, love, and serve as Jesus taught. These activities are an integral part of student life that give students the opportunity to act upon the foundational Christian values learned in our homes and classrooms. In order to form virtuous habits in the students they serve, our coaches are mission-driven, God-centered leaders who emphasize character building, servant leadership, and self-sacrifice. A large assortment of activities will be offered in order to serve the interests of the entire Sentinel student body.
Lead + Love + Serve Awards
Activities provide an excellent opportunity to lead, love and serve, which is not always the easy path. The path most often chosen doesn’t involve sacrifice, selflessness and humility. The well cleared path involves the avoidance of pain, the pursuit of convenience and the reward of self pride. The well laid path provides immediate comfort, not eternal joy.
Stella Maris Academy students who are awarded with our Mission Awards have represented their families, their team, their school and God in the most profound way by choosing the right path.
